Quality Systems Analyst - Intern

Seegrid currently has an opening for a Quality Systems Analyst-Intern   The Quality Systems Analyst intern will use captured data from field and manufacturing cases to build statistical models and identify trends in defect occurrence. The Analyst must have applicable statistical processing skills and be well-versed in techniques to parse data for the purpose of analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform statistical analysis via regression, graphical representation and correlation to independent variables to find trends in behavior or failure
  • Extract, parse/process, sort and edit vehicle performance and configuration data for analysis
  • Investigate cause for failure of vehicle systems and possible correlation to data with the help of engineering and field service

Requirements and Experience:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering with focus on statistics and probability
  • Skilled with statistical analysis tools and at least one application such as JMP, Minitab, SAS, Excel, Periscope, etc.
  • Proficient in use of Windows/Office or Google Docs/Drive
  • Minimum requirement:  VBA/macros in Excel; high level language programming skills are preferred
  • Coursework projects or prior internship experiences in automated manufacturing or robotics is preferred
  • Experience in problem-solving techniques such as 8D and/or Shainin Red X is preferred
  • Must be a highly responsible individual who can work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in noisy and busy environment while collecting data
